Porcelain Unicorn

By Deirdre Byerly

This is an award-winning short film.  To me it’s a picture of salvation, redemption, and the way Jesus makes all things new, but I think the clip speaks for itself.

Beautiful. It truly does speak for itself; the message of love, paying the price for the purpose of freedom. “If is freedom that Christ came to set us free.” I was touched by the moment of restoration at the end. “He makes all things new.”

With Hugo currently being my favorite movie, which takes place in a seemingly peaceful time in France during that time right before Hitler and just finishing Erik Larson’s “In The Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler’s Berlin” this was a very real and hopeful look at a horrible time in our history. Certainly redemptive.
